John Schuchart is the vice president of enterprise sales for Comcast Business Class’s Central Division. Schuchart and Comcast are located in Galleria 600.
We recently got a chance to talk with John about the services offered by Comcast Business, how Galleria tenants can take advantage of the company’s referral program and what the office of the future may look like.
Many thanks to John for his time …
Give us an overview of the services offered by Comcast Business.
Comcast Business Class is a leading provider of information and communications products and services, with hundreds of thousands of business customers across the country. Our Business Class services deliver the technology and innovative solutions to help give businesses, local governments, healthcare organizations and educational institutions across the country the advantage they need to be more successful.
Comcast Business Class offers a complete suite of services for companies of all sizes and shapes. For mid-sized and larger organizations, Comcast Business Class offers highly reliable and scalable point-to-point and multi-point Ethernet-based services plus the Ethernet Dedicated Internet service, which is configurable from 1 megabyte per second to 10 gigabytes per second and certified by the Metro Ethernet Forum.
Delivered over Comcast’s private, enhanced fiber optic network, these services are highly reliable, scalable and secure. They help support the applications that improve productivity and increase profitability for our customers, so they can work faster and be more agile and responsive.
Tell us about how Galleria tenants can benefit from your referral program?
The Comcast Business referral program is a bona fide win-win for everyone. A Galleria tenant who enrolls in the program is paired with a Comcast Business account executive who becomes that tenant’s referral partner. Tenants can make up to $5,000 per referral to Comcast Business.
Tenants enter their referrals into an online portal, and Comcast follows up with the referral opportunity. Once the referred business is installed, the tenant submitting the referral will receive a payment equal to the referral’s first month of service. Tenants can monitor their referrals online and track their progress, watching their rewards grow.
The Comcast Business referral program is one of the best programs I’ve seen for engaging our customers and partners in a way that truly rewards them for helping us grow our business.
How do you see in-office technology evolving or changing over the next decade or so?
I don’t think we will recognize our offices in the next decade! I imagine security will have increased, and we will see more fingerprint scanners instead of ID badges. The devices that sit on our desks will be increasingly more integrated and portable.
One thing is for sure: whatever our offices look like in 10 years, secure, reliable bandwidth is going to be a necessity, even more so than today. Comcast Business encourages businesses to consider its fiber-delivered services now, which can, in essence, future-proof your bandwidth needs for decades to come. The security of your data and connectivity should be a top priority in any business, and should always take precedence over a low-cost provider.
What are some of your favorite attributes of the Galleria?
Many things: its location, its appearance, and the overall convenience of the park’s ingress and egress.
