Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Offering Great Thanksgiving Rates

Have friends or family coming in town for Thanksgiving, but don’t have room for them at your house? Or maybe you just think your sanity would be better off if they stayed at a hotel?

We chatted this week with Joe Uhl, general manager of the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel, which is offering special Turkey Day packages. From Nov. 20 to Nov. 27, rooms at the hotel will be available for $79 per night. If guests want to add breakfast for two each day, the rate increases to $99. Packages include complimentary high-speed Internet access.

But Uhl is most excited about the free pumpkin pies (made from scratch by the hotel’s pastry chef!) that guests will receive. “We want to make Thanksgiving homecomings special and easy,” he said. “These pies will help our guests contribute to Thanksgiving family meals.”

The Georgian Club Institutes New Membership Program

The Georgian Club has launched a new membership program at a significant savings. The Corporate Umbrella Membership offers full membership privileges for up to 10 designated members within a company. (The members must be bona fide employees and go through the normal application process.)

Monthly dues of $400 will be billed directly to the primary corporate member for the entire group of up to 10 members. Usage charges will be billed to each member individually.

Atlanta Galleria Adds Marriott International to Tenant Roster

Atlanta Business Chronicle highlights Atlanta Galleria leasing news in its current issue! In case you haven’t seen the newspaper yet, Marriott International Inc. signed a 16,000-square-foot lease at Galleria 400.

Connie Engel, a partner at Childress Klein, had this to say about Atlanta Galleria's new tenant: "I am thrilled to bring this blue-chip company to Atlanta Galleria Office Park. We have a lot of leading companies here, and Marriott is another great addition.

"Tenants really recognize that being at Atlanta Galleria adds value to their businesses. ”

The Marriott news follows several high-profile renewals at Atlanta Galleria. Digital Insurance renewed for 32,000 square feet at Galleria 400, Bank of America renewed for 24,000 square feet at Galleria 300 and Freeman Mathis & Gary added 10,000 square feet (for a total of 40,000 square feet) at Galleria 100.
