Educational Growth in Texas. Atlanta Galleria tenant Balfour Beatty Construction has signed a $116 million contract to build a new, comprehensive high school in Denton, Texas. The school, slated for completion in 2016, will be one of 50 that Balfour Beatty has constructed for the Denton Independent School District.
“Our long-standing relationships in growth markets are critically important, and we are proud to be working with the district once again, and applying the latest innovations in construction methodology and technology to deliver more efficient, cost-effective buildings,” said Mark Layman, CEO of Balfour Beatty’s U.S. Construction Services business, in a press release.
The school will feature energy-efficient lighting and a 2,400-student capacity with the potential for future expansion.
