Music on the Square. Bring your chairs, blankets and picnic goodies to the Marietta Square on Friday night for this year’s final installment of the Glover Park Concert Series. Paradocs, a local band known for playing a variety of musical styles, will perform at 8 p.m. Admission is free.
Only blankets and lawn chairs are allowed inside Glover Park. Personal tables may be set up on the street on North and East Park Square after 6 p.m. VIP tables also can be reserved for a fee.

Man’s Best Friend. Grab your furry friend and family and head over to Tolleson Park this Saturday for Bark in the Park. This family-friendly event will feature pet contests, food trucks and more.
This event is free to attend. For those wanting to participate in the dog contests, you can register on site the day of the event. Tolleson Park is located at 3590 King Springs Road in Smyrna. For more information, click here.
Finger-Licking Good. Barbecue lovers are in for a treat at the Whole Hawg Happenin’ BBQ and Music Fest, to be held this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Marietta Square.
The best barbeque joints from across Atlanta will be serving up samples, including Jim and Nicks BBQ, The Rib Ranch, Big Shanty BBQ and more. There also will be treats available from local vendors such as King of Pops, Bojangles, Peanut Hut and more.
The event will feature live music, a beer garden, food demonstrations and kids’ activities. Admission and parking are free, and tastings run from $0.50 to $5.00.
Stay Connected. Join the Cobb Chamber of Commerce for its regular Cobb Connections session on Monday, Sept. 29. Cobb Connections events give attendees the chance to build business-to-business and business-to-consumer relationships through roundtable discussions of common challenges and successful strategies for gaining new referrals.
The event will last from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will be held at the Mansour Center, located at 995 Roswell St. Northeast, Suite 100, in Marietta.
The session is complimentary to all Chamber members. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 26, at noon.
