A Night at the Square. The Marietta Square is full of events this Friday evening. Start off the weekend with the First Friday Art Walk. Galleries, museums, restaurants and boutiques on the Square will display the works of local artists and stay open late for shopping.
The art walk will last from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free parking is available after 4:45 p.m. on the surrounding streets and in the parking garage located on Cherokee Street across from the Strand Theater. Visit the Art Walk website for more information.
After taking in the arts, visit The Earl Smith Strand Theatre for the Brew with a View event. The theatre has a great rooftop terrace with views of the Marietta Square and Kennesaw Mountain, and those 21 and older are invited for beer, wine and cocktails starting at 8:30 p.m.

Let’s Go Owls! Join the Cobb Young Professionals (CYP) on Thursday, June 12, as they hold their first Leadership Luncheon of the year at the Kennesaw State University (KSU) Sports and Entertainment Park. This event will feature lunch, a look at KSU’s new football locker rooms and an opportunity to hear from KSU Athletic Director Vaughn Williams.
The event will last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chamber members can register for $15 online. General admission is $20. The KSU Sports and Entertainment Park is located at 3200 George Busbee Parkway.
Power Lunch. Language arts teacher Kim Bearden, co-founder and executive director of the Ron Clark Academy, will be the featured speaker at the Cobb Executive Women’s luncheon on Friday, June 13.
The luncheon will be held at The Georgian Club. The doors will open at 11 a.m. for networking, and the program will start at 11:15 a.m.
Part of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, Cobb Executive Women is a group dedicated to enhancing and supporting the relationships between professional women in the county.
For Cobb Executive Women members, tickets are $20 online and $35 at the door. For the general public, the prices are $30 online and $45 at the door. Online registration, which can be completed here, ends at noon on Wednesday, June 11.
