An Evening to Die for. The Atlanta Ballet’s modern take on Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” comes to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre this weekend. Showtimes are as follows:
Friday at 8 p.m.
Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Sunday at 2 p.m.

Run for Research. Get a workout in and help raise money for Parkinson’s disease research by participating in the RaceTrac Run for Research this Saturday. The 5K race will start at 8 a.m. at the RaceTrac Store Support Center, located at 3225 Cumberland Boulevard.
The registration fee is $30. Participants can sign up either at the support center on the day of the race, or beforehand at the RaceTrac website. All proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
A free 1K race for children 12 and younger will begin once the 5K is over.
A Saturday of Samples. Calling all foodies: the 2014 Taste of West Cobb is back for another year of food and fun. Come out to Powder Springs this Saturday afternoon to enjoy samples from local restaurants like La Parrilla, Potbellies Smokehouse, Johnny’s Pizza, Keegan’s and more. The event also will feature entertainment by the Hillgrove High School Band, representatives from local businesses and activities for kids.
Tickets for the Taste of West Cobb are sold in packs and can be purchased by clicking here, or on the day of the event with cash. Each pack costs $10 and includes 10 taste tickets and two raffle tickets. Most samples require one to four taste tickets.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hillgrove High is located at 4165 Luther Ward Road in Powder Springs.
Jump It Out. Join the Cobb Chamber for its Business After Hours event next Thursday, April 17, at SkyZone Indoor Trampoline Park in Kennesaw. Attendees will have the chance to network as they jump the night away.
