Ramblin’ Wreck Meet & Greet. If you’re a Georgia Tech alumni and looking to connect with fellow Yellow Jackets in the Smyrna area, look no further than the Georgia Tech Cobb County Alumni Network. The network is hosting an event at Atkins Park in the Smyrna Market Village tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Civil War Tunes at Kennesaw Mountain. Whenever we go to Kennesaw Mountain, it’s usually to hike, jog or take our dog for a walk. It’s easy to forget that this beautiful park was once a Civil War battlefield.
The pianist Bonnie Blue Briana will help us remember the history of the park this Saturday when she plays a collection of popular Civil War songs at the Battlefield Park Visitor Center. The performance will last from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Billy Gardell Comes to Cobb. Comedian Bill Gardell, best known for his role as Chicago police officer Mike Biggs on the CBS hit sitcom “Mike and Molly,” will take off his badge to perform his stand-up act this Saturday evening at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Gardell’s stand-up act covers aspects of his childhood and new family life.
The show starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets range from $35 to $50 and can be purchased through the Centre's website.
