The Georgia Ballet Comes to Cobb. This weekend, The Georgia Ballet will bring the quintessential holiday classic, “The Nutcracker,” to the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre at The Cobb Civic Center.
According to The Georgia Ballet, the “enchanting production features dancing snowflakes, giant toy soldiers, a growing Christmas tree, and a delectable land of sweets!” This year’s production also will feature new choreography.
Performances run all weekend, with the first one this Friday at 8:00 p.m. To purchase tickets or for show times, visit the Georgia Ballet website.
Shopping, Savings and Santa. Be sure to head out this Saturday to the Galleria Specialty Shops in The Cobb Galleria Centre for a fun-filled holiday festival that will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mrs. Claus will help host the event, which will feature games, cookie and ornament decorating, and face painting. Shoppers can enjoy a 20 percent discount at specialty shops and no-hassle gift wrapping. Children will receive free hot chocolate and eat for free at mall restaurants (Big Chow Grill, Buckhead Pizza, Jocks & Jills and Subway).

He's Making A List and Checking It Twice. Social Vinings is hosting its Naughty or Nice Happy Hour this Saturday evening.
Santa and his elves will serve drink specials from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Holiday Pub Crawl. Grab your best Santa costume, a new toy and head out to the Marietta Square for the Santa Pub Crawl for Toys for Tots this Saturday evening.
The event kicks off at 5:00 p.m. with the toy drop off and a showing of the movie “Santa Clause Conquers the Martians.” The pub crawl begins after the movie and concludes around 11 p.m. with a costume contest.
