Looking for a family-friendly holiday experience this season? If so, the Army Ground Forces Band will return to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre for its 25th annual performance Sunday, Dec.12 at 3 p.m.
This annual holiday concert includes traditional and contemporary music and is free to the public. The program will feature a joint performance of the concert and show bands with genres ranging from traditional holiday music to jazz, rock and gospel.
The 64-member band is based in Atlanta's Fort McPherson. As one of the Army's premier touring bands, it performs more than 300 concerts per year and holds clinics at high schools and colleges around the country. Soldiers assigned to the band must pass a highly selective audition and are among the finest musicians in the Army Band Program.
Tickets are available at the Bank of North Georgia Box Office at the Cobb Energy Centre on a first-come, first-served basis. They are not available online or at the door, so be sure to get yours early!
