There is always something exciting going on here in our backyard. From wine tastings to comedy shows, Cobb County has something to entertain everyone this fall. A few recommendations:

Where: Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, John A. Williams Theatre
Details: The Atlanta Opera presents a story set in snowy Paris. Six young penniless artists are full of idealism, beauty and unbridled love, but soon encounter the harsh realities of life. This performance is sung in Italian with English super-titles.

19th annual Wine Tasting and Auction
When: Oct. 20, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Indian Hills Country Club, Marietta
Details: The East Cobb Civitans and Friends of the East Cobb Park will have their 19th annual Wine Tasting and Auction Wine and Vine Market. Heavy Hors D'oeuvers are included with each ticket. Call 770-514-3069 for more information.

The Return Beatles Tribute Band
When: Oct. 22, 10 p.m.
Where: Earl Smith Strand Theatre on the Marietta Square
Details: The Fab Four may be no more but their music is alive and well thanks to this nationally touring quartet. The critically acclaimed Beatles tribute band, The Return, will take you right back to the 1960s and have you experiencing the British Invasion and Beatlemania all over again. The band’s members are fiercely dedicated to accurately recreating the sound of The Beatles and the likeness is uncanny.

Vince Vaughn & Kevin James Comedy Roadshow
When: Nov 11, 8 p.m.
Where: Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, John A. Williams Theatre
Details: Hollywood funnymen Vince Vaughn and Kevin James embark on a 14-city national tour of the "Vince Vaughn and Kevin James Comedy Roadshow," featuring live sketch comedy by Kevin James, Vince Vaughn and surprise special guests, as well as stand up comedy performances by nationally recognized comedians Richie Minervini, Owen Benjamin and Steve Byrne.
